It was Félix Azpilicueta Martínez who, due to his pioneering spirit, discovered in Fuenmayor an excellent terrain for wine cultivation. Hundreds of hectares of vineyards, where different grape varieties grow in variable environmental conditions, offer our wines all their essence and complexity.

The vineyard of Fuenmayor is planted in irregular topography, at various altitudes, in a great mix of soils and with different orientations. That variety of conditions causes different microclimates, giving the land fabulous creativity: the same grape variety can express itself in very different ways.

The vineyard is a living being over which we maintain constant guardianship and exhaustive control. Thus, we take care of each plot in all its aspects: pruning, the evolution of its vegetative cycle, and the progress of maturity. Then, we taste the grapes and determine the precise moment for the harvest.

The Denomination of Origin Qualified Rioja has managed to adapt to consumer tastes without losing its typicality and preserving the varieties that make it unique. In it, wines of very different styles coexist, but Rioja is always recognizable.
